BHS healthcare workers receive COVID-19 vaccination

This week we have reached a milestone at BHS with the first of our frontline healthcare workers receiving COVID-19 vaccination at Albury Wodonga Health (AWH).

BHS is working closely with AWH (our local Public Health Unit) as the COVID-19 vaccination schedule progresses and we are committed to providing BHS staff and aged care residents every opportunity to participate in the COVID-19 vaccination schedule.

Australia’s COVID-19 vaccines will become available in phases.

The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (ATAGI) has advised the Australian Government on which groups should be prioritized for the first doses of the COVID-19 vaccination in Australia. This advice is consistent with guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO).

If you would like to check your eligibility for the vaccine and find out more about priority groups click here.

BHS will also continue to work closely with AWH’s Public Health Unit in the provision of information to our local community about the COVID-19 vaccination schedule for other priority groups.
