Changing Minds standard

We're all very excited with the launch of our Changing Minds project into Stringybark Lodge, one of our aged care units. This project is a partnership with Alzheimer's Australia (Vic), Charles Sturt University and BHS and involves the introduction and incorporation of the Montessori principles into our model of aged care. The Montessori approach has been shown to improve people’s mental health and wellbeing through engaging them in meaningful social activities. Finance and Audit Committee – Community representative (voluntary) standard

February 2015 – June 2016 Applications are sought for an Independent Member to join the Finance and Audit Committee of Beechworth Health Service (BHS). The main objectives of the committee are to monitor and provide advice on the financial performance of BHS, monitor controls and compliance frameworks and ensure accountability under the relevant legislation. The position is voluntary and its role is to provide an objective, independent, expert perspective to assist the BHS Board in discharging its responsibilities. Appropriate knowledge and understanding of financial performance, reporting and risk management is a requirement of the role.
